I don't need to know individual teams just a and b from which districts. It will be at Thomas Whittam School (Barden) with 9 0clock check in and start ASAP finishing around 12 though obviously teams can leave once knocked out. It will be league format the KO for qualifiers Rules: Teams are up to 6 players one of whom is the goalkeeper. Goalkeepers MUST remain within the area, the goal keeper must roll the ball out at all times. All free-kicks are direct, the defending team must remain a distance of 2 metres away. Only the goalkeeper is allowed within the area. penalty to opposition if defenders in the area. The ball must remain below head height. No sliding tackles are allowed. Cubs MUST be 10.5 or under on the day of competition The competition will initially be on a league basis then Q/F, Semi-Final, Final. If penalty shoot-outs are required, they will be on a sudden death basis, but time permitting the organisers will endeavour to reach a result without penalty shoot-outs. ( I.e. play extra time) There are 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw. Tie-breakers will be as follows. 1) Goal Difference, 2) Goals Scored, 3)Goals conceded, 4) The result of the match the teams have played previously 5) A play-off game or penalties. 6) Drawing lots. The number of qualifiers from each league will be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 depending on the number of teams entered. The Q/F will be seeded on the basis of league placing. A player receiving a yellow card will be suspended for one game, a red card will mean suspension for the tournament. SWIMMING GALA

FRIDAY 25TH NOVEMBER 2011 AT DARWEN LEISURE CENTRE

The above event will take place on Friday 25th November 2011 at Darwen Leisure Centre. Scouts who are either competing or spectators will be required in uniform outside the centre at 6.45. pm.

Parents are welcome to attend to support the event. There is no charge for spectators or swimmers although programs will be sold on the night.

The event finishes at approximately 10.00pm.

The event will be run to ASA  (Amateur Swimming Association) rules.

Note:  Darwen Leisure Centre operates a system where a £1 coin is required for the lockers in the changing rooms. This is returned when the locker is finished with.

For the Swimming Gala, to save a load of time, please could you provide the necessary £1 coins to the competitors and collect back after the event.

I have looked at the lockers and 2 competitors could share 1 locker.

 

RULES

1. If teams do not turn up, the heats will be cancelled, and a final swim for the remaining teams will take place.

 

3. All events (except the Canon Trophy) will be awarded points, and the District with the highest score will receive the Belsey Trophy

 

4. A District may enter only TWO competitors in each event (except relay races)

 

5. A competitor may enter TWO events only, which may include a relay event.

 

6. A competitor may swim in ONE age group only (the section which he/she is invested)

 

7. In all cases the Judges decision will be final

 

8. POINTS:  All events:   4-3-2-1

 

9. Any competitors DISQUALIFIED will be advised immediately.

 

Note: Only persons barefoot or wearing plimsolls will be allowed on the pool side
