Blackburn District Annual General Meeting

Tuesday 9th May 2017
Time: 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start (finishing by approximately 9.00pm)

Place: Cherry Tree Woodlands, Preston Old Road, Cherry Tree, Blackburn, BB2 5ND

Please make every effort to attend, there will be section displays showing what our Young people have been up to throughout the year
an agenda will be sent shortly.

Please can I ask anyone who is interested in joining us on the Exec to send your details to Andrea Dewhurst, the District Secretary, acdewhurst1980@yahoo.co.uk  for inclusion in the voting process on the night.

We would like to see 2 Young people of Explorer age (14 – 18) preferably one for each unit (Dragon and Young leaders unit) no voting  rights.

We would like 2 –  18 – 25 year olds to come forward to join the Exec.

ADC’s are invited to attend (and encouraged) but don’t have voting rights.

Below are the details regarding the County Exec for those who want to be on it.
Nominations for election at the County AGM.
If you are interested in being nominated or think someone else would be a good representative (Please ask them first.) Can you let me have the names before the meeting if possible?

  • Up to two appointed persons to go forward to the County Annual General Meeting, for election to the County Executive Committee.
  • Up to two Network age scouts, to go forward to the County Annual General Meeting, for election to the County Executive Committee.
  • One appointed person to go forward to the County Annual General Meeting, for election to serve as Nominated Member on the Council of the Scout Association.
  • One appointed person of Network age to go forward to the County Annual General Meeting, for election to serve as Nominated Youth Member on the Council of the Scout Association.
  • Two Explorer Scouts to go forward to the County Annual General Meeting, for election to have right of attendance (but not voting rights) at the County Executive Committee.
  • Up to four appointed people to represent the District on the County Scout Council.
  • Up to two Explorer Scout Members nominated by the District Explorer Scout Meeting to represent the District on the County Scout Council.
  • Up to two Appointed Members of Network age to represent the District on the County Scout Council.

    Please can you let me know if you are attending for catering purposes.
